Betham the Sage is the proprietor of Betham's Books, a coffee-shop, bookstore and library which popular among wizards and sorcerers in Verbobonc, especially those who are not associated with a guild or strongly structured order.
The Wrinkle Academy meet here, and Bethem is a member. The Silver Consortium and its leader, Juelihm the Conjeoror are not on friendly terms with the Wrinkle Academy or Bethem, nor they with the Consortium. However, the Academy of Farsight, across the street from Betham's Books, has a friendly relationship with both Bethem and the Wrinkle Academy.
