Danube is a small town on the Dark River about 20 miles east of Carpenter's Cove and 60 miles east of Highport in the Pomarj.
The city is populated by humans and dwarves, most of whom fled the troubles of Highport or Stoneheim during the Greyhawk Wars. They have little contact with the ruling orcish government other than to pay taxes and import supplies from Highport. Their only trade is in the export of small amounts of flora from the Dark River Swamp for use as magical components. This trade keeps the town alive at a subsistance level, but it is by no means a wealthy town.
