Dungeons & Dragons cosmology

In the default Dungeons & Dragons cosmology, there are inner and outer planes, connected by the transitive planes:

• Astral plane
• Ethereal plane
• Plane of shadow

Most of the planes are infinite in their physical dimensions, but certain demi-planes are finite.
