Maavu Arlintal

Maavu Arlintal, a human male in his mid-30s, is the owner of Maavu Imports which competes with Adrick Garthûn's Garthûn Imports, mostly in terms of goods which they provide to other local businesses.
One of Maavu's warehouses was nearly destroyed when the umber hulk attacked, seemingly randomly. However, there have been rumors circulating since that:
- Maavu keeps many such strange creatures and the umber hulk is the one that got away
- Maavu was seen leaving the city that night on a jet black horse with smoke for hooves
Tax riot
Maavu appeared for the first time in public since the umber hulk incident to lead the protest against the recent tax increases. He gave a passionate speech, but the demonstration went poorly when someone attacked a guard who had been sent out to break up the protest. Maavu was then attacked by an air elemental known as a breathdrinker which a party of adventurers dispatched before it could harm him. He told them to meet him in Redgorge where he is involved with some sort of group that uses secret passwords, and has apparently been in touch with Alex Tercival.
The next day, a crier announced that Maavu was missing, and that he had been sentenced to death in absentia for his roll in the riot!
