Turrosh Mak is the leader and founder of the Orcish Empire of the Pomarj. To his orcish and goblinoid people he is both a tyranical leader and savior. To much of the rest of the Flanaess and especially the Principality of Ulek he is a savage and evil enemy.

In CY581, two years after the overthrow of the Slave Lords (in power in the Pomarj since CY566), he came to power, gathering the tribes of orcs and other goblinoids in a great offensive against Ulek, winning unexpected victories and causing Ulek's forces to fall back. Because of the chaos caused by the Greyhawk Wars, little help came to the aid of Ulek, and while some territory was regained, the Pomarj stands even today as a large affront to its enemies.
