Viscount Langard—ruler of Verbobonc—rose to his position unexpectedly in CY 588 when Viscount Fenward, his half-brother, was slain. Langard was raised in the Gnarley Forest, and maintains ties with those he knew there.

Controversy

Langard has many rumors surrounding him. Almost all involve one of two topics:

  • His unexpected rise to power (potentially by his own, or his allies hand?)
  • His origins in the Gnarley Forest, where he may have been involved in banditry.

None of these rumors have been confirmed, and the Viscount has publicly denied them all.
